"Most emergencies aren't. They're people playing out their dramas and inviting you to become entangled in their dramas."

Today's new episode is soooo good!

Empathetic listening is such a precious and beautiful gift that we can give to one another day after day. 💜

And here's the second piece of string art I finished tonight. I envision a beautiful soul from the LGBTQ+ community, a soul who felt the need to cover up their identity with a dull, bland facade...blending in, ashamed to be seen. Here the dull covering is being unraveled, revealing a spectacular soul beneath and the remnants of the cloak are being used to speak a message of love.

Take care, friends.
You matter.
You are important.
Thank you for just your being you.

Sometimes I don’t know how to articulate what I believe. All I know is how I feel it.

I recently learned about one of the ways that Norewegians get through the long, dark winters. They have a practice called "Koselig". The word means hug or to be cozy. From what I understand, people in the community gather. They light candles and fireplaces, drink warm beverages, sit under fuzzy blankets, and actively practice coziness together. How beautiful is that?

Feelings of worth can flourish only in an atmosphere where individual differences are appreciated, mistakes are tolerated, communication is open, and rules are flexible.
- Virginia Satir

This quote is helping to inform my parenting practices today.
