A handful of the many books that have greatly influenced me:

The Courage to Be by Paul Tillich
Grist for the Mill by Ram Dass
The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz
What We Talk About When We Talk About God by Rob Bell
The Idolatry of God by Peter Rollins

@AndrewBrooks I loved Eckhart Tolle‘s books, The power of Now & A New Earth

@AndrewBrooks Tillich is a gaping hole in my reading. Thanks for reminding me.

@Jeremy I’m thankful for @peterrollins (wishful mention) for leading a book study on The Courage to Be. I bought the book years before and wasn’t able to power through some of the difficult material on my own. But I’m so glad I held onto it and was able to participate in the book study. I took notes on most of the chapters. It’s a book that i’d love to read every year or every other. So dense.

@Jeremy @AndrewBrooks ohhh thank the lord! I'm so game! (Says the guy who has 30 currently reading books in his kindle app) 😂

@Er3mos @AndrewBrooks My intention is to select a few of those suggested so far and what folks select and go from there.

@AndrewBrooks currently reading Grist, Ram Dass has a beautiful accessibility with joy while introducing some big ideas. Love it.

@layton I’m right there with you! I’m currently reading it as well. I put it on the list because even though I haven’t even finished the whole book, it still has had a profound effect on me.
