Hey all. This is my current #Nashville (ish) list. It'll be good to have so we can arrange future meetups, etc.
Let me know who I'm missing and give me a heads up when new Nashville people join. It's hard to keep track with so many new members.
Teacher friends: Has your faith journey had any impact on your teaching? If so, in what ways? If not, in what ways do you keep your faith separate from your professional life? #liturgisteducators
Anyone else here nerd out over audio gear like I do?
Or, if you're looking to purchase something in the future, but feel lost, I'm happy to offer any advice you need.
I've said this before, but it bears repeating: @mike 's views on mp3 v. lossless remain the most controversial thing he's ever stated on ASM 😂
Hey all! I'm trying to start a #Nashville list so I can have a single place to follow all of you and to also (hopefully) organize meetups in the future.
If you want to be on the list, please reply to this or DM me and I'll put you on.
Also, thanks @danielmrose for pointing this feature out to me. I completely missed it before.
Church today: Our female pastor read the letter of 8 white male religious leaders in the 60s condemning racial protests and saying we should wait on the courts to give justice. She then read portions of MLKs response from the Birmingham jail and his reasons for waiting not being an option.
She then listed the things she can no longer wait for, starting with LGBTQ equality and going from there.
She cried as she did so.
This morning was a good morning.
Hey all. I'm Eric. I'm 37 and live in the Nashville area.
I've been married 15 years and have two daughters, ages 8 and 3.
I teach high school Calculus for a living and teach classes at the UMC my family attends. I'm a hopeless audio addict, theology nerd, and hardcore 9w1.
I'm in a constant state of deconstruction/reconstruction. It's sort of my home base. If you're not evolving, you're not living.
Happy to see you all here.
I'm taking a Wednesday night class on the intersection of science/religion and its impact on climate change/creation care. I e-mailed the class leader afterwards to see if he's familiar with @mike . Turns out he's a fellow liturgist and patron who volunteered at the Nashville gathering, which I attended.
