Just because different groups experience *different* oppression doesn't mean one group gets to tell the other that they are not oppressed.

Plus a lot of the time, the people saying a group is not oppressed are part of the people oppressing them.

@Laura_I if I fail to see the image of the divine or myself in the oppressed or the oppressor I am apart of the problem.

@Laura_I Very true. Your comment also made me think of this I remembered reading years ago. Participation in oppressive systems is not always visible to those enmeshed in them.

I was thinking along these lines the other day. The truth is, lots of us are privileged in some ways and oppressed in others. There are very few people that can check all the privilege boxes. And those people are probably still miserable.
