Indigenous people!

Please share this and reply and be my friend! Let's create a community on here where we know we have someone who gets it!

I'll start, I'm Ojibwe. Raised away from the tribe, but am a full member now as an adult.

(If not indigenous, please still share, I wanna reach others)

Lovely 1-min video feat. Mary Heglar - climate change link to slavery

I'm a superfan of Mary Annaise Heglar, this is extremely worth your time.

She posted it in honor of Juneteenth.

@mattlaff hi friend!

I've decreased my use a lot, & maybe it's just me but it seems like people aren't chatting as much generally. Maybe the newness wore off some & we all got busy IRL?

In glad you're well.

@heidi Yes.

I literally don't know what else to say love ♥️ other than find the the men-identified folk who don't do that. They exist.

@rebekahcrabs housecleaning is real important I don't know what to say about that. You care a lot aboutbit when those hypothetical babies arrive after you've carried them & birthed them & whatnot.

Then again I am the one who doesn't pull my weight & I'm grateful for grace from my partner. So what do I know really 😆

@martaparta if I could do it without being deeply unhealthy and sad eventually, I would do nothing ever and watch TV all the time. Honestly.

Haven't started Sabrina because my sister told me I'd like it which means I will love it & be obsessed until I watch it all...

@mike @Ricci also, here is an owl riding a toy horse because I can't stop laughing at it & you deserve that

Another great reason to do what you can to help with climate change (and all the other connected injustices we face)? It inspires other people. It inspires you. Do the next right thing, big or teeny tiny. We affect each other. Don't despair, and if you do, find other people to do something with.

I'll tell you what I'm doing if it helps.

Fascinating article that the graphic comes from:

@Ricci @mike you get all the hearts 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚

#TheLiturgists episode 100

Made me cry in a good way, esp. at the sign-offs at the end by @mike and @vishnu

I'm so glad good exciting things are happening. I'm so glad you've found new revenue streams and interesting, challenging paths ahead.

All the love 🙏💚

Also y'all sign up to share your talents!

I know some of y'all are coding geniuses! And many other kinds of geniuses!

@mike @Natalie

UGH money is the worst. You need it to do things like, say, saving the world from climate change or podcasting life saving & enriching content.

So you have to figure out how to get it. Personally, I end up feeling conflicted about doing things to get money from people in a capitalist society - it presents a LOT of moral grey areas, even when I know it's for super good reasons.

Sending my sympathies & will stay tuned for how to help.

@Ricci also I'm from FL originally, & there's a TON of variation there, North to South (which works opposite of the country basically in terms of white culture anyway), rural to city, Gulf vs treasure coast, and then of course there's Orlando which is its own planet... It's a weird weird place. Not sure it can be generalized.

Alabama, where I am now, has a more unified experience (a discouraging one built on white supremacy?)

@Ricci I don't even know where to start. I'm just gonna say probably yes.

Haven't posted resources in a long time, but I loved this so thought I'd share - "Some of my Best Friends are Green," Ted talk by Adriana Quintero:

@mike @vishnu I got curious after TAATR ep & looked up Donut Friend. Oh my God. Is all L.A. food amazing & creative? I need to go bake a complicated layer cake or something now.
