Adding to my

I'm INF with a 50/50 split for the last part J and P. Need to look into Enneagram more.

I work part time for the Methodist church as a "school lay worker", while not being Methodist myself.

I teach Religious Education lessons, lead school "assemblies", run a lunchtime prayer club (which is basically a place that a group of girls come to feel safe), organise week long prayer spaces (which are so loosely that, you could describe them as mediation & thinking spaces)

Had a fantastic time at the Let us Play course over the weekend.
We talked about spirituality in terms of 4 types of connections we make.

I - Me
I - You
I - World
I - Other (something "beyond")

We learnt about child directed play therapy and sand tray therapy. All fascinating.

That definition above almost exactly matches one of the RE lessons I have to teach in school so I will be re-writing that lesson with an example that was used on this course.

Today sucks. Gastroparesis sucks. Chronic illness sucks.
I want this to be over, but that isn't going to happen. I'm worn out from parenting an adult child with multiple conditions and scared of the possible future.

Today sucked! Adult son saw consultant for his digestive conditions. No surgery for the new additional diagnosis as that would probably make the other main condition much worse.
Repeating previous tests over the next few weeks, see the consultant again in a month.
In the meantime switch to a liquid/puree diet even though that means more of what he takes in will come back up.
Possibility of feeding tube in the future.
He's 24! He's supposed to have this amazing future ahead of him & now THIS!

2 hour drive each way tomorrow to take 24 year old son to see his consultant for his gastro conditions while he is still in flare up that leads to violent vomitting within 10 minutes of taking in any fluids.

Been absent for few weeks, Hopefully going to be more present now.

24 year old son is in second major flare up within 3 weeks of his chronic digestive conditions. Last time resulted in a hospital admission which came with an additional diagnosis on top of everything else. That needs surgery. Best case scenario is that dealing with that will take the edge off his symptom load. Worst case scenario is it could actually make things a lot worse.
