Today I went to #Kaiser with cash in my pocket. We grew up without health insurance. Hospitals were for white people.
I have had a full time office job that provides me with health care, but I have only recently begun "using it." The anxiety associated with payments will never decrease I think.
At the end I braced myself for the total due.
Wow its nice to have privilege. Exam and prescription: zero dollars. If my #ancestors could see me now! I am the American Dream.
@estrella Yep. It is good. But sad that simply receiving basic medical care is a privilege in this country.
