I think it would be so cool to be in the “mystic” camp, but mystic experience is just not something available to me right now, apparently.

@Samjjacobs @joeld I’m very curious how you define mysticism, if you’d be willing to share?

@Baravis @Samjjacobs I don't have a rigorous one. I guess for me it would have to involve the practice of transcendant or spiritual experiences outside of the intellect; (possibly) alternate states of consciousness; a view of the world that instinctively finds an underlying oneness in things; a positive response of the heart and imagination towards symbols, icons, and myths of spiritual value.

@joeld @Baravis that’s a really good explanation. For me, it would be connecting somehow to belief in the connectedness of everything that moved beyond just abstract ideas for me. Also, it’s that I feel mystical experiences are just not possibility for me.

@Samjjacobs @joeld Thanks for sharing that. I want to talk more about this but I’m not entirely sure what direction to take it. I’m going to sit with it for a bit, haha. :)
