Tabs and Wafers - Portland
Ok, @Ricci asked about Boulder, so someone's got to ask about Portland. Any folks around here going to Portland?
Had a blast last night seeing Gungor, Brilliance, and Propaganda do a great show! It's wild looking back on the journey you've been on. I've been on a similar journey with you, and not being alone is so much better. (Sorry I cropped out David, didn't want to include the kids).
now I just need to finish this thought
@Ricci reading this thread spawned a bunch of semi-adjacent thoughts that I almost wrote out, but I'm not sure any of them would actually be helpful.
But in general, yeah, I resonate with a lot of what you're saying here.
I'm interested to know of anyone's experience with the Quaker tradition. I just read this and am very intrigued https://universalistfriends.org/library/a-quaker-s-response-to-christian-fundamentalism
Loved hearing @mike and @vishnu talk about Everything in TATR today. It’s simply a stunning and very different gaming experience. Also it’s gameplay trailer (link below) with Alan Watts voice, is simply beautiful and was nominated for an Oscar I believe. Check it out if you haven’t already: https://youtu.be/JYHp8LwBUzo
Also can’t wait for ‘THIS’ to be released in the U.K. I’ve loved what I’ve heard so far.
@markjperkins That's next on my list! I was visiting my pops and saw that book on his shelf, which spurred a fun discussion on our beliefs. There are a lot of similarities with how Jesus lives and the Eightfold Path.
It's also notable that Christianity seems to have borrowed a lot from Stoicism, as well. At least judging by the letters from the early church fathers.
If we make it through these changes finding nothing was in store but the glance of our exchanges, did they ever look so nice?
