words, disabilities, political correctness

Hi friends. Is using the word "limitations" politically incorrect when talking about disabilities?

@martaparta I think it depends on the context and the situation. I think a lot of disabled people would talk about our limitations. But sure it could be used in a condescending way

They are limitations but that doesn't have to be seen as some life-ending thing. Just something we need to be accommodated for

@RadiantEmber That's what I was thinking. My sentence was "what are the limitations that people with developmental disabilities have?" Like I'm not trying to make it a negative thing- just, what are the things that cause difficulty that we need to consider? is there a better way to phrase this?

@martaparta maybe "what are the limitations that people with developmental disabilities face?"

It's not a big change but just recognizing that the limitations are also imposed by society in part
