Deafness and Podcasts

I have a couple dear friends who are deaf or are hard-of-hearing, and find listening to podcasts almost impossible. This has been difficult particularly when it comes to the Liturgists - they would love to be a part of this community, but are unable to consume the main form of media that the community is based on, making it difficult.

I've seen podcasts put out transcripts of episodes; has there ever been talk of this for the Liturgists? Any other thoughts or ideas?

@nathanc @vishnu We're in the process of having all our episodes edited so we can re-upload them all and transcribe them. It's a HUGE project, but will get done in the next few months.

From that point forward, every episode will have a transcript posted with a week of its debut.

The problem is we didn't realize we needed to do this until we already had hundreds of hours of audio out there. I'm not excusing it--I'm just saying solving the problem now take serious resources.

@mike You guys are amazing. I honestly didnt know it was a problem either, just another example of unknown privilege. Proud that y'all are already on top of it!

@mike Thanks for responding Mike, exciting to hear that this is in the works! It's definitely a massive job, but I'm pysched that it's on the radar.
