I’ve been trying to go back and tag all our episodes that have Rachel in them. You can see them at the link below. If I forgot any, let me know and I’ll update them they appear in this list.

I’ve been a sobbing mess all day as I’ve flown across the country. This is a loss that hurts.

I keep thinking, what will we do without her?

Show thread

@mike I'm so sorry for your loss. I know you lost a very dear friend. I found out while in Costco this morning and thought I was going to be sick. Such a punch in the emotional gut. And then I thought of you, figuring it's hitting hard. She was/is a great woman of valor. Sending digital hugs.

@mike So so sorry for your loss Mike, I know you knew Rachel well.

I'm also thinking the same. How can we move forward without her? The loss is gaping. I feel a great weight right now.

@mike I am so, so sorry...I can't imagine how painful this must be for her family and close friends. Lord, have mercy...

@mike I’m so sorry, Mike. We are feeling this loss keenly. It hurts my heart.

@mike im so so sorry. i didnt know her personally but her writing was a light for me in a time when I truly needed it, and it softened my heart to faith when I never thought I would be able to again. Im holding you all in my heart.

We will sob. We will ache. We will be overcome with grief & sadness.

We will also remember. We will savor her words & voice left to us & this world. Perhaps most importantly, we will keep a piece of her alive within us forever.

@mike, this last year for me has been one of excruciating loss. There are days I feel my chest may collapse within me & I will breathe my last. Today is another such day.

I know it's cheesy & nerdy, but I hope this image will be of value to you & others. 💙 🙏

@amal @mike I love that you quoted the doctor. Don't you ever call it cheesy again!

@mike I'm so so sorry. May you find comfort in the arms of your family and friends. We mourn with you.

@mike She, like you, Vishnu, and others made so many of us realize we are not alone. How beautiful a gift to give and one we need sorely in her absence. If I believe in nothing else in my moments of doubt, it is the love I feel from those who stand and say, “It’s ok. I feel that way too.” Sending warm woo vibes to you in the loss of your friend.

@mike ...I'm so sorry. I don't know what to say. But I share my tears and send my love.

@mike I am feeling the ache with you and for you. I am so sorry you lost your friend.

I am so sorry we all lost Rachel.

We are none of us alone. We are all of us loved.

@mike I'm so sorry Mike. We all know she was a dear friend to you. Keeping you in our hearts during this time of mourning. The wisdom and love that she leaves behind and has imparted on our souls will never fade.

We love you and will grieve with you.

@mike devastating. Deepest sympathies to you and the whole liturgists team. Really feeling for you all

@mike man I’m sorry. This hurts, more for you than for most of us. As for what we shall do without her, she cleared space for many of us to stand. The best way I can think of to honor and keep Rachel’s memory alive is to stand in that space. And breathe for a minute. It’s space that was hard fought for. As for our sister, may her rest be sweet and her memory never fade! Let’s cry, and make space for grief. But let’s also continue the fight.

@mike I am so sorry for your loss. My heart aches for you all. She is such an amazing and inspiring woman. Love to her family and friends.

@mike I didn't even know her - except through her writings and interviews - and I've been sobbing too. Thanks for making her podcasts with y'all easier to find.

@mike my love goes out to you and all that are processing and grieving this loss. What a light she was and is ❤️

@mike thanks, I was hoping someone would do that but I can't bear to listen to anything right now 😭

@mike Rachel is in Season 1 episode 4, Unity, which I will never forget as it was the first time I had heard Rachel speak. I vividly remember listening to that episode while walking around on campus, trying not to laugh and cry too much as Rachel described faith as something other than a set of categorical beliefs. That episode is probably what left the door of Christianity as a community open to me even when my beliefs no longer "belonged".

@mike thank you for your efforts doing this. I loved hearing her. Love and acceptance ebbed from her language and you could not help but be challenged and feel loved all at once.

My heart aches for you Mike.

Stay strong and know that you have a community that has your back on believes in you and the things you are doing. We are all mourning with you over this terrible tragedy. Take whatever time you need. We will be here when you come back.
