Marcus Aurelius - Meditations

And so none of them can hurt me. No one can implicate me in ugliness. Nor can I feel angry at my relative, or hate him. We were born to work together like feet, hands and eyes, like the two rows of teeth, upper and lower. To obstruct each other is unnatural. To feel anger at someone, to turn your back on him: these are unnatural. 2/2

Marcus Aurelius - Meditations

When you wake up in the morning, tell yourself: the people I deal with today will be meddling, ungrateful, arrogant, dishonest, jealous and surly. They are like this because they can’t tell good from evil. But I have seen the beauty of good, and the ugliness of evil, and have recognized that the wrongdoer has a nature related to my own - not of the same blood and birth, but the same mind, and possessing a share of the divine. 1/2

Come home to the taste of shattering the grand illusion.

Come home, to Simple Ricks.

I am not of this world
I am a citizen of heaven
Therefore I can take the visitor spot permanently.

Had a dream @vishnu was singing on a Snarky Puppy family dinners album. I'm no prophet but the universe shouldn't be ignored.

On the fourth day he created the grain in the fields.
On the fifth day he created the sheep in the pastures and wood of the forrest.
On the sixth day he realised there were still no bricks and offerred 2 grain to trade.
Realising there was noone to trade with he created Man, who produced bricks and took the deal for grain.
On the seventh day finally God was able to build a settlement.
Then he surveyed all he had made and thought I should go for the longest road.

When I was an evangelical, out of fear, I was forced to examine every piece of art or entertainment around me from a spiritual perspective to find the evils hidden by "the world."

Since leaving that way of thought and life, I've found myself doing the same thing - this time out of love and joy. The beautiful spirituality hidden in games and movies are fascinating and rewarding to my new eyes.

I guess, in some ways, deconstruction is just taking what you know and replacing fear with joy.

I broke the first rule of being bald... Never let your head get sunburnt 😭

(But the beach was nice)

Some problems are older than we think:
"You search the Scriptures because you think they give you eternal life. But the Scriptures point to me!" - Jesus

If you use emoji in a message to someone with a screen reader (e.g. someone who is blind) then it is worth knowing what they'll hear:

Some of my best spiritual thoughts happen while my code is compiling... Not this time though.

If you pick words following the fibonacci sequence through Paul's letters you end up with a very tasty salsa recipe.

Why did Jesus cross?

To get to the others' side.

Shame isn't always a bad thing, for example not being able to feed myself at Hot Pot led to my mastery of chopsticks today.

My little sister just described rainy days as "cuddle puddle days" and that's pretty much the best description ever ☔☁☁☔

Since we're all Liturgists, I'm keen to see/hear/experience works you've produced, share a you're proud of!

Broad, bald, stands quite tall
Broken and rebuilt by love
More action, less words

The Bible:
Man made to create
Creates Hell wants rule through death
Shown death does not rule

Transitions Haiku:
Gungor is no more
Mastadon is heckin' lit
