I keep remembering the Liturgists "Christian" episode when Rachel Held Evans sang "I AM A C! I AM A C-H! I AM A C-H-R-I-S-T-I-A-N!" with so much joy and sincerity. It was funny, but it also felt like it came straight from her heart because she meant it.

asking for help should never be something you feel embarrassed or ashamed about

even if you ask every day.

you are allowed to ask for help. you are allowed to need help. you should ask for help when you need it, that is the correct response to distressing times and emotions

anyone who has made you feel badly about doing so deserves a swift kick to the shin

Brene Brown - "True belonging doesn't require you to change who you are; it requires you to be who you are."

The core of my camouflage has always involved relinquishing my boundaries so I could be ... whomever I needed to be. I remember doing that. I remember everything inside me shifting.

I don't know how to walk that back.

@madisonlmc I "get small." I start cutting out things in my life that are low on my priority list but are sucking energy from me.

Then I get "sacred" trying to make everything I do reverential. The way I light a candle, wash the dishes, drink my tea.

I give my heart and my mind time to stop the bleeding.

More water, more fruits and vegetables, more fresh air, more exercise, more sleep. Less caffeine, less sugar, less lard, less alcohol. Less Horsesh*t from others. ;)
