Easter, evangelical church

@Ricci If you don't mind me asking, what church is it?

tabs and wafers, boulder

@Ricci Cool. I wasn't planning on going to the Q&A.

tabs and wafers, boulder

@Ricci We might want it. I think we're going to go, but don't feel like you have to sell it for less than you paid. We'd be happy to reimburse you.

Let me confirm with my wife that we're going to go and I can have her Cash app or Venmo or whatever money delivery your prefer.

*Bonus-- my wife and I got to design all of the posters for this event so I'm particularly excited about it. πŸ˜€

Show thread

Hey Colorado friends, our church here in Colorado Springs is hosting a weekend of events with Dr. Miguel De La Torre next month.

Dr. De La Torre is an ethics professor at Iliff School of Theloogy in Denver and is guaranteed to bring the πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯.

I know it's the same weekend as Tabs and Wafers in Boulder, but I think if you can find your way to one of the events, you won't be disappointed.

@mike thanks for the recommendation on Kiwi Co.Crates! We got our first one in the mail yesterday and our 3yr old loved it.

@hope @Colton Sure. Everyone get something different πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ... that's why we need them all, right?

@Colton yeah I enjoyed the Bushi episode a lot and am still thinking about some of the things I heard. The second episode felt a bit more like a conversation with Susan about her biography more than an exploration of the practice.

Yeah, I find it makes me more aware of my core motivations and default responses and knowing the framework gives me a split second to make a different choice.

I feel more comfortable with what I am and less automatic in my responses. My wife and I work together and it's made our work and marriage so much better because we have a new empathy for how the other person thinks.

The thing that I've appreciated about the wings is it helps account for a wide variety of personalities within the nine without making the whole thing prescriptive. I'm a 5w4 which means my personality manifests very differently from a lot of other 5s, especially my father-in-law who is a 5w6. Sometimes I operate more like a 4 but when I come back to the core motivations, I am a 5 through and through.

@Noah Cool, we're in Colorado Springs... I believe my wife and I might be going but I think we might be spending the weekend up in Boulder. Maybe we could get an informal meetup of some CO folks from Mastadon around the event?

Is your #Enneagram number genetic?

@vishnu @mike @hillarymcbride @WilliamMatt22 πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ Not at all.

Is your #Enneagram number genetic?

@mike @vishnu @hillarymcbride @WilliamMatt22 That was my impression too. I liked many of things they were talking about on this episode but I really bumped on that statement. I will be thinking about this one for a while.
